Dear Doctor , I have been prescribed Azithromycin for Bacterial Vaginosis . How many tablets should I take each day and for how long? As I was in such a fluster when I was given the meds, I have forgotton how much to take and for how long. Thanks so much for your help.

Azithromycin is normally taken 1000 mg (250 mg x 4 or 500 mg x2) tablets 30 minutes before food for 14 days in bacterial vaginosis. Kindly cross check with your doctor.
