How Many Times There Should Be Sugar Checks For NIDDM?
I have been trying to get my NIDDM patients to only check their blood sugars once a week and not three times a day. They are on Metformin, and I have educated them to use control with their diets, that checking their sugars three times a day will not change anything, but diet will. And this will also save them money because strips are expensive. How many times a month do you think they should check their sugar if they are stable?
Hello, If the blood sugar levels and your diet is controlled then checking your blood sugar levels once in every 15 days is more than enough for patients suffering from type 2 diabetes. Thanks
