How Often A Person Can Get Flu And How To Avoid Them?

Hi, i'm Anthony, i am curious to know how often can one person get the flu ? I got a flu shot last year in march of 2013 and got the flu 3 weeks later............ So i didnt get a flu shot yet this year and concidering not getting one........ Now one person lives in the same home with me and has the flu 4 days now, i am very worried of what to do to avoid getting the flu

Hi,
A flu shot will not prevent you contracting flu but it will reduce your chances. There are many forms of the flu virus and a flu shot will protect you against the most likely strains.
To reduce your chance of catching flu you need to wash your hands frequently and avoid contact with people who you suspect have flu or those who are sneezing and coughing as this is how it is commonly passed from person to person.
