How Often Can Laproscopic Hysterectomy In An Hpv And Displasic Patient Lead To Displasia Happening In The Vaginal Cuff?
Thank you. I have hpv and high displasia, scheduled fir laparoscopic hysterectomy at the end of the month. Dr however told me that it may not be it. That sometimes displasia happens on the vaginal cuff which will require another surgery how often dies that happen? It scared me,
Dear member, Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. dysplasia is due to hpv infection of the cervix which may lead to cancer later hence the surgery. the same infection may also affect the vaginal tissue and cause dysplasia of the vagina though the incidence is less. I would recommend that you continue with the yearly inspection of the vaginal vault and the smear of the vault for early detection. thanks. Dr Bhagyashree
