How Quickly Do Staph Infection Symptoms Show Up Post Exposure?
If exposed to a staph infection in a doctor;s office what in incubation time before any symptoms appear? I had a scope from nose into throat procedure on 11/17 and began feeling ill yesterday I am concerned i have a stsph infection Mupirocin Ointment USP 2%- online says to keep away from nose, for skin only, but ENT advised to use on lining inside nose for an infection Can one use neosporin on lining inside nose-which of the above is safer-less serious side effects
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Mupirocin is commonly used in the nose to treat staph infections. It is quite possible that there is no link between your symptoms and the procedure that was done. The incubation period is normally 4 to 10 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
