How Reliable Blood Tests Are In Detecting Chlamydia?

Hello I just received my test results today and it states that C Trachomatis IgG (EID) was detected. The doctor said that this means I have chlamydia, I was prescribed antibiotics and told to come back in 1 week for a urine test. I was wondering how reliable blood tests are in detecting chlamydia?

these tests are very reliable and sensitive in 97% of cases so it confirms that you were ingfected with clamidia but symptoms may be minor or even absent or it may occur later. so it is necessary to pass antibiotic course. Wish you good health.
