I can undeestand your concern.
you are probably giving history of fever in your child which you say is 103,am i right?
if yes then its not safe for giving this to your child for fever alone.
In case of fever the drug of choice is paracetamol and its dose for a 2.5 years old baby is 5 ml 4-6 hourly (incase of fever) of 120mg/5ml syrup.
Steroids are not given without a proper diagnosis of the disease requiring steroids like asthma,allergy or other states.
