How Safe Is A Hip Replacement Surgery?
Am candidate for hip replacement. Female, 64yrs, african american, disabled. Also have back problems..in pain all the time from both hip n back. Hesitant. May need back surgery as well. Many concerns. Live alone. Am a widow. Worry most about recovery n how much help I may need once home

The hip replacement surgery is major surgery. The patient can start walk after two to three days.
To regain normal physical activity it needs 4 weeks. So for one month, you might need someone to assist you in work of the home.
