I am a seventy year old black female who is 5 4 tall and weights about 222 pounds. My medical problems consist of the following; insulin dependent uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, herniated disc in neck and lower back, spinal stenosis, arthritis of the spine, torn rotator cuff in right shoulder, tendinitis and Cyst of right shoulder, torn meniscus of left knee, arthritis of right knee, bone spurs and fluid on knee, bilateral neuropathy of both right and left feet, legs and arms, bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome of both left and right wrists, multiple joints affected with osteoarthritis- both knees, ankles and shoulder, damaged radial nerve of right wrist, gout of right foot, asthma, chronic sinusitis, diabetic neuropathy of both feet, hands arms and elbows. I have been suffering from random nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. I suffer from hypothyroidism to which the right side of my thyroid was removed in 1989. My abdomen is so distended that I cannot bed over to pick up something that drops. I have bilateral cataracts and my diabetes has resulted in bleeding behind my right eye. I also suffer from a myriad of gastrointestinal problems such as GERD, Reflux, as well as sleep apnea. I take the following medications; • Humulin “R” (regular) U-500 20units 3x a day. If blood sugar is less than 100, then “NO” insulin • Glucophage XR 500 mg 2 times daily • Micardis HCT 40 mg/12.5 mg once a day. • Toprol XL 50 mg daily • Lansoprazole DR 30 mg 2 times daily • Lipitor (Atorvastatin) 40 mg one tab daily • Advair 100/50 inhale once 2X per day • Active Sinus Saline Rinse each nostril 2X daily • Nasonex nasal spray two squirts in each nostril 2X daily • Singulair (Montelukast Sodium) 10 mg daily • Synthroid 175 mcc daily • Vitamin D 2000 units daily • Magnesium 400 mg • Flaxseed • Anacin 400 mg & Caffeine 32 mg 3 tablets, prn My question to you; HOW DANGEROUS WOULD AN ABDOMINOPLASTY PROCEDURE BE FOR ME?
