What Causes Stiffness In The Hands And Fingers Post An Abdominoplasty?

I recently had surgery - abdominoplasty. About three weeks after the surgery, my hands and fingers have experienced significant stiffness in the mornings. This wears off through the day. Could this be related to the surgery? What other conditions might be causing this.
