Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father in law is in the hospital. The staff has withdrawn 5.4 ltrs of fluid from his stomach. He has not been able to have normal bowel movements for more than 10 days. One doctor has suggested histoplasmosis while others seem to be at a loss. Numerous CT scans have been done without helping to pinpoint a problem. My father in law is a relatively healthy man of 75 years of age. Can you offer any ideas
If you share his labs, I will be able to give advice accordingly. You told about withdrawing blood from stomach, what particular procedure was that. And kindly do share his patient file and doctors treatment notes as well
