Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:
1. Odimont-LC (
Montelukast +
Levocetirizine) and Cinase (Cicosenide) are commonly used medications for
sinusitis.
All above are usually considered safe for long term use but it is important to mention that no drug is without side effects.
2. Common side effects of montelukast: headache, nausea,
stomach upset, etc minor side effects
Levocetirizine: sedation,
drowsiness, etc
Ciclosenide: an intranasal steroid, usually local side effects like burning, bitter taste in mouth, dryness of inner membrane, etc. General side effects due to
steroids can rarely occur with long term use in high dose.
3. So, first of all, please take medications under guidance and monitoring of an experienced physician. Please do not discontinue them by yourself due to fear of side effects. If any of above side effects are seen, please report immediately to your doctor.
4. Please make sure that your technique of using intranasal spray is correct, the spray is not directed towards nose middle septum otherwise it could be damaged with long term use.
5. In general, please avoid exposure to dusts, smokes and air pollution as much as possible.
6. Regular steam inhalation also helps to improve
drainage of sinuses in a long run.
7. Regular breathing exercises including Yoga/Pranayama and a healthy diet rich in vitamins & minerals as well as adequate fluids during day to maintain hydration will also help you in a long run.
8. As you have specifically asked about Yoga exercises, I would suggest you to consult an experienced Yoga trainer/practitioner who will suggest you various Yoga exercises and Pranayama according to your constitution, your problems and your requirements. In general, regular practice of simple Yoga poses and simple breathing exercises like Anulom-Vilom etc improve your immunity as well as nasal drainage.
Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.
Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.
Wish you the best of the health ahead.
Thank you & Regards.
