Sorry to hear about your wife.
It is most important to change position, to prevent pressure over the bony areas which causes the sores and also delays the healing.
Since this is not always possible, do consider using a water mattress as this relieves the hard pressure greatly.
As for the sores, clean regularly with just water or saline, and apply an antibiotic over the sores. Cover with a loose moist bandage.
Dont use harsh chemicals.
Urea and
ammonium lactate creams are both strong creams used mainly for very dry, thick or scaly skin and should not be used over the delicate skin over and around the sores, as it may cause more peeling and thinning.
Just use an oil like
paraffin or a good moisturizing lotion regularly esp over the sharp and bony areas.
