How Safe Is Using Polysporin Inside The Nostril To Clear The Yellow Scabs?

I have had an on going issue with my nose. With yellow scabs forming on the inside of the nostrils and it is sometimes foul smelling. I also have yellow, sticky mucous inside my nostrils. My question is what should I do to clear this up? Is it safe to use polysporin inside the nostril? Or should I make an appointment to see my family Doctor?

Hi,

You can use a saline nasal spray instead of Polysporin. Creams like pain-free Neosporin or Polysporin can be used to fight infection and reduce pain. Antibiotics are more useful when there are signs of infection like foul smell and thick scab.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
