As I cannot deduce your age [not mentioned] so cannot comment on the exact treatment since management varies according to the age [from lifestyle changes to hormonal therapy]: - If it is puberty to 20 years: it could be due to anovular cycles for which general improvement of health with tonics, hematinics, and exercise is usually enough and if there is no relief with general measures then pills are advised - if it is 20-40 years age [child bearing age]; then . P.V. examination and ultrasound to rule out abnormalities of the uterus. [polyps, endometrial atrophy, endometrial hyperplasia] - Hb%, WBC, bleeding disorder profile, serum thyroid profile. - oral contraceptive pills, and if there is no relief, then biopsy followed by hormone therapy. - Peri menopausal age: first send the patient for endometrial curettage and biopsy to rule out malignancy and if biopsy is normal, advise hormone therapy for 3-4 cycles PS.
