How Should Duphaston Be Taken After Taking An Emergency Contraceptive Pill?
Good morning. I have been taking duphaston to regulate my cycle, from the 15th to the 25th day once a day as recommended by my gyno. Last night I took emergency contraception, should I proceed to take duphaston as usual since I am in the 16th day of the cycle?
Duphaston is a very good medicine for regulating menstrual cycle. It mostly interacts with anticonvulsant drugs. Emergency contraception pill (ECP) is good and safe contraceptive way which can give protection up to 3 or 4 days of unprotected sex. This ECP (Levonorgestrol) interacts with a very few number of drugs.
There no known interaction of Duphaston and ECP. So you can safely use both on same day i.e 16th day.
Take care
