How Should Hydralazine Be Taken To Keep Blood Pressure Levels Under Control?
my friend s blood pressure is 190/70. She has taken two 25 mg hydralazine in a 5-hour period and her blood pressure has not appreciably gone down. Should she continue to take the hydralazine and at what intervals. Ann Robinson YYYY@YYYY
Hello there . I have read through your question and would like to tell you that hydralazine is a diuretic and taking it indiscriminately can cause serious side effects. Since your friend has already taken two doses of hydralazine 25 at an interval of five hours it is not advisable to take it anymore before 8 hours. If her blood pressure is not coming down you should consult her physician. If required her physician may add another anti hypertensive like calcium channel blocker to control her blood pressure. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
