How Should Coughing Of White Substance And Breathing Difficulty While In Remission From Stage 4 Lung Cancer Be Treated?
My father is 77 year old. He was diagnosed with 4th stage lung cancer a few years ago and with Keytruda has been in remission the past year. Now, he is coughing a lot of junk (white stuff) and last week went into hospital unable to get enough oxygen. They found high level ammonia in his blood (80+) and small amount blood in his urine. Please help.
If you say that he has ammonia in his blood than there are two possibilities. The first his kidneys function is damaged and the second the lungs can not exhale the carbon dioxide from itself or can be both. I need other information blood tests and check scan to say exactly what it is.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
