I have a friend who is battling stage 4 lung cancer. Now she says she has a detached retina from the lung cancer. How can this be? Another mutual friend says she knows someone who had lung cancer and went completely blind. How can lung cancer affect vision?
Your friend is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer. If the tumour has spread to his brain and affected the area of his vision then he may become blind. Treatment at this stage consist of palliative radiotherapy and chemotherapy to improve his quality of life.
