How Should Loose Motion With Stomach Discomfort Be Treated?
My wife has suffered from water motion and taken to hospital where she was put on saline. After 3 days of treatment there she came home and continued medicine for another 3days (Pentop 40, twice a day, Cifran 500mg 2times a day, tab Ornida 500mg 2times a day and Enterogermina twice a day). She is still having stomach discomfort and loose feeling. The stool is like loose sand settling in the pan. What to do?
She may be suffering acute gastroenteritis in which intestinal layer may loss his coating or decreased mucosal enzymes may lead to bloating. It will take time don't worry, give plenty of liquids and ORS solution.
Avoid spicy and oily food. Continue above medications. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
