How Soon Rabies Vaccine Should Be Taken After An Animal Bite?

Hi Sir, I was attacked by dog few days back. I could not find any scratch mark OR wound/blood coming out. Do i have any risk of rabies. After four days of incident, i started taking vaccination Rabipur. Am i at safer side, since i started taking vaccination after 4 days of dog attack. Thanks Shashi

Hi, if there is no scratch mark, then there is no need to take antirabies vaccine. But if have some doubt you can take vaccine for category 1 bite. The schedule is 0, 3, 7 and 28 days. 0 implies day of first vaccination. Take care.
