How Soon After Endometriosis Surgery Is Traveling Safe?

How soon can I travel after am endometriosis surgery? I m not sure if it will be laparascopy or laparatomy because I already had a laparascopy and my doctor said I needed another surgery as of my endometriosis is severe. I have scar tissue on small intestines, uterus, and fallopian tubes. Thanks in advanced!

Hi.

Laprascopy will allow you to get back to your daily activities sooner, whereas a laparotomy scar usually takes much longer to heal and with the deacription of the adhesions you mentioned I think a laparotomy would be more advisable in your case. Leaving the advisable travel time around a month at least, after surgery.

Best wishes.
