How Soon Can Eclia Test Be Taken After An Unsafe Oral Sex?

Hi,I had a unprotected oral and protected vagina sex with sex worker on 30th July 2017. On 15rh August 2017, I had Eclia test which came negative. But I am very worried now. This was my first time. Please let me know if Eclia test at 16 days is accurate?

Hello, thanks for asking on healthcaremagic. Window period for HIV is 3 months. It doesnt matter much what method is used though ECLIA and ELISA are more accurate than rapid tests. But conclusive negatiive result can be assumed after a negative ECLIA after three months only. Since in that time antibodies have not fully developed but virus is there in blood. Thanks.
