I took my two Metformin 750 grams pills after lunch and they seem to be stuck like half way down to my stomach......it hurts and I m not sure if there is anything I can do to get them to dissolve ? It has been about 4 and a half hours and it just seems to be sitting there.....what can I do I am afraid to eat anything till this pain is gone.
Thanks for using HealthcareMagic
If you are able to swallow food and drink, the pills are not likely stuck in your throat, though you may have that sensation. The feeling that the you are experiencing may be due to the mild trauma that occurred to the throat when you took the medication and swallowing them was difficult. It should improve within a 24 to 36 hour period. If you cannot swallow food or drink then you need to be seen as soon as possible.
I hope this helps
