How To Alleviate Wrist And Elbow Pain?

Hi , I fell hard 3 weeks ago and jammed left arm. I Had quite a bit of soreness. A fairly large bruise Left inner elbow and faint bruise left inner wrist. I am having positional pain, especially rotating left arm outward. Pain when opening doors, turning my hand palm up, any weight on my left hand causes pain at base of left thumb and wrist. I have not been using left arm much, but when I do it really irritates it. When should I consider seeing a doctor?

Hi,

You may have developed strain of arm, external rotator muscles and forearm supinator muscles. Also get checked for any fracture of wrist or rotator cuff injury.

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your orthopedician who will examine and suggest x-ray of your wrist and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
