How To Avoid Infection After Being Pricked By The Used Injection Needle?

Hi Dr,My mother is Diabetic and one of my family member just got pricked by infected needle, my mother is pre-Diabetic patient. Her Diabetics is under control, but I am just worried about my family Member if she will get infected. Please give us your suggestion what should we do ?

first of all there is no need to worry as the pin prick is from a known person and diabetes is not a infection if your mother has any other blood stream infection i would suggest you get your relative evaluated for the same infection
