hi i am 27 years old married lady with PCOD. i am on meprate since last 3 months.my last periods were 18-22 august 2015. on 26th we had unprotected sex, i took an ipill and there was bleeding from 1st - 3rd september. today 6th september we again had unprotected sex due to condom rupture. what to do? when to take meprate now?? how to avoid pregnancy?? what are the chances??
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Meprate is used in the short-term treatment for the symptoms of anxiety states. You need to take the medication as prescribed by your doctor. In the first instance of having unprotected intercourse, what you have done is right and you also experienced withdrawal bleeding as it should have. Although the chances of conceiving in PCOD is less, yet there is a risk of getting pregnant since time of ovulation is highly predictable. Hence, in the second instance too, you need to take emergency contraceptive pill as you have done earlier, if you desire to prevent pregnancy. Hope the information provided would be helpful.
