How To Breast Feed My Baby As He Gets Cranky ?

My baby is about a month old....seems that I am not producing enough milk so I am substituting him with formula. He is not even latching to my left breast. My doc says that my milk will dry up if I don feed him regularly. He has my milk 3-4 times a day and is more on formula.....I went in for his growth monitoring which is sarisfactory but people keep on suggesting me to switch over to breast milk. Which if I force on my baby ...he gets very cranky

I think breast milk is best for your baby and it has benefit for you too. Try to give breast milk before giving formula feed. Also see to it that the positioning and attachment of the baby to the breast is proper. Poor attachment or position is quite common cause of lactation failure. Also baby should be given breast feed on demand. It will take some time to re introduce the breast feed but you have to be patient. Also you can try supplementary suckling technique to increase breast milk and baby's bonding.
