Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I don t know how to calculate my period cycle? my last period started in July 23 and ended in July 28 now today the 28 of August my new period just started my main question to know my save period and how to calculate my save period and fertilizer period?
The 14th day of your LMP (last menstrual period), means if your menses started on July 23rd, adding 14 days in it is 6th August is your predicted ovulation date time.
Time of 3-4 days after the ovulation is considered highly fertile period where there are maximum chances of sperm to get fertilised with the oocyte released by the ovary.
The time period of 4 days before and 6 days after the ovulation is considered fertilizer period for the best possible pregnancy chances.
The safe period is menstruation cycle itself and time around 1 week before and after the same.
Though there can be various differences as per the case, this is the general rule as per accepted by the majority of the medical journals and practitioners, you can approach your OBGY for getting further details as cervical, breast, mood, temperature changes which can assist you in this instance to be more clear and precise.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
