How To Check Squint Eye In 13 Months Old ?

Hi Dr..We have My daughter (13 month) has squint eye.. How do I check if she is has squint eye.some times the left eye and some times the right eyese and her eyes do not prove in the middle Is this normal for their age? Or not? What should I do to see if she had squint? And the whiteness of her eyes closer to Blue. does she has a problem Please help me what should I do?

at 13 months the child should be looking at you , objects etc steadily with bilateral straight eyes .. what u have said is NOT normal for her age.. only until 3 months children can have misaligned eyes .. after that squinting warrants check up and further treatment if necessary . .

There is the possibility of physiological squint.Usually squint is unilateral and now a days squint can be easily and fully corrected.so do not worry go to a eye OPD for check up.

Many babies appear to have squint , but in real they don’t .This can be best judged by examination by your Pediatrician or Optholomologist. White part (sclera) of eye is light blue colour in some kids which is normal.However there are some disorders associated with this feature.
I advise you to visit your Pediatrician and get examined thoroughly and get free from worries.
