How To Clear Lung Congestion?

I have trouble breathing because my lungs are making wheezing noises when I breathe. I have had 2 rounds of Sterioids and antibiotics and the problem has returned. There is also coughing, from the lungs. There is no obvious stuff that comes up; what I ve been able to see is clear, maybe a little gray here and there. From an exray there is mild congestion. Any ideas? I do not smoke, although my mom did while I was growing up.

Hello,

The situation you have mentioned is about broncho-spasm. There is tightness in muscles of your air pipe. This may be secondary to some allergy (most probably). This allergic condition is usually reversible with medicines but once the effect of these medicines finish, this tightness returns. You need to take long acting broncho. Dilators. Steroids in inhalation form can be taken for a long time in micro doses via inhalers (but not oral steroids). So a combination of inhalational steroid (fluticasone) and long acting bronchodilator (terbutaline or sarmeterol) is available for usage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
