How To Completely Treat Injured Cheeks Of 2 Years Old?
My 2 yr old son fell and hit his cheek on the side of a table. It was a bad bruise. The bruise has resolved, but now his cheek is attached to the bone underneath to create a long dimple. I have been gently massaging the area in the hopes that it will detach. What else can you suggest as treatment?
It can take months and sometimes years for re modelling of a wound to occur and appearance to return to normal. The dimple is due to the formation of scar tissue in the layers of skin.
At present there is little that can be done at home but monitor, if it is significant however, you may need to consult your doctor who may refer him to a surgeon for treatment.
I hope this helps
