Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was pregnant for 3 weeks I took mifepristone pill and aft 48hrs I took 2 misoprostol. Aft taking misoprostol I got bleeding in 2hrs. Heavy bleeding was only for 4-5 hrs .Next 2 misoprostop I took in 24hrs now I have less bleeding. Plz tel me is the abortion done clearly or I m still pregnant?
As per your query you have got pregnant and you took medication for abortion for that, well I don't recommend abortions. You should take proper preventive methods. Tablets mifepristone and misoprostol which is an effective method of abortion for pregnancies less than 7 weeks gestation.
The main complication associated with abortions is severe bleeding, pain abdomen and retained products which might require surgical evacuation. I would suggest you to visit medical practitioner once and go for transvaginal ultrasonography.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
