How To Confirm If This Ultrasound Test Result Is Accurate?

About 3 months ago, I felt a semi-hard fixed lump(about 1cm, seemingly elongated) on my forearm just under the skin. it feels to have grown to possibly 1.5 to 2cm in length. Ultrasound reveals irregular shaped lipoma. What are the chances this finding is wrong and that this isn t lipoma?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Lipoma is a straight forward diagnosis and possibility of a wrong diagnosis is very rare. You can go for a fine needle biopsy(FNAC) to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
