I have PCOS and was diagnosed last year (April). I have been monitoring my cycle for the last few months and although I have been getting my periods the cycles have varied between 33 - 39 days. My last cycle started on the 21.08.12. I started to get abdominal cramps and back ache since Saturday night which I felt was because my period was due. I have continued to feel like I am bleeding since then but when I have checked there has been either no blood or a dark red blood (spotting). I would love to be pregnant and my husband and I have been trying, but I am also concerned that the spotting might be an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. I have a pregnancy kit but not sure whether to do it as if it says I m not pregnant I might still have an ectopic! What should I do?
For confirmation of pregnancy, I would suggest you to do a urine pregnancy test and also a BHCG test and repeat the test after 2 weeks and to see if there is rising titre. Also, a transvaginal sonography can be done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
