Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
If you wait to take a pregnancy test after 2 weeks of being late for your period and it says negative, would it be pretty much confirmed that I am not pregnant since it should be able to easily detect my hCG levels by now since the egg would have been had plenty of time to plant itself??? I m just tired of stressing and need reassurance
HI, Welcome to HCM, I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue. In case of pregnancy, urine pregnancy test give positive result after 7-10 days of overdue and mostly its accurate but in some cases it can be false positive and false negative as well. So, I would advise you to go for Serum Beta HCG Test as it is confirmatory and give result within few days of conception. Go for Pelvic ultrasound as well and consult with Gynaecologist.
Hope so it will be helpful. You can write again in case of any query or follow up. Wish you good health. Regards
