How To Control BP Level While Having Sinus Infection?

What can I do to get my bp down? I have been on a zpack for two days and its really made my pd go up. I am not going to take it anymore (I have a sinus infection). I just didn t know what I could do to help lower it. My bp is border line. Some times it s normal and other time its a little high. But today its 173/116.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Azithromycin can affect the heart and blood pressure.
With regard to the heart, it can cause an abnormal rhythm, in terms of the blood pressure, it most commonly causes low blood pressure though everyone can react differently.

It is possible that the stress response from the infection itself is causing the increase.

Your blood pressure reading would be considered a stage 2 reading, it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment if these readings continue.
Medication, possible at least 2 , may be needed.

The D.A.S.H diet is a diet that is designed to help with blood pressure, it may be helpful for you.

I hope this helps
