How To Control Addiction Of Clonazepam For Depression?
hello doctor... I have a 73 year old mother who is addicted to clonazepam for around 15 years now and cannot stop them and cannot sleep either now... She also takes depression pills and I do not know what to do to help her 1st stop those pills and 2nd get her more relaxed with no depression Thank you!
I think, in her case, you should take sedative antidepressant like mirtazapine or tramadol. It would help her to control depressive symptoms as well as get sound sleep. With these drugs, she could easily wean off clonazepam. Better to consult psychiatrist or physician for them as these drugs are not available over the counter.
Thanks
