Hi,

I understand your concern for your loving wife. As she is diabetic and on insulin injections, care gas to be taken that she takes her food regularly and in sufficient quantities. Reasons for low glucose levels are:

1) irregular eating or eating less quantity

2) high dosage of insulin.

Kindly make sure she eats properly and in spite of it if the levels are low kindly maintain a insulin chart with time and dosage with glucose levels too. Show it to your consulting doctor and am sure he will titrate a required dosage suitable to your wife. Till then if she suffers from low levels with symptoms like sweating, nausea, weakness, then immediately give her a chocolate bar to eat as it increases sugar level for time being.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suhas Chauhan
