Sir i am Diabetic patient in addition to Heart. Stunt installed in 2010. Now i am used Glyzid 80 since 4 years. So far no problem. Since 2 months there is some change in Urine and Sugar levels. FBS 185 Fasting Urine + and PBFBS 241 and Fasting Urine Sugar ++. and BP level 170/100 in April 25th. Now Doctor changed ISTAMET tablet 50mg/1000mg insteadof Glyzid 80 using before tiffin early morning. Kindly advise me which medicine can use?

In diabetic sugar control, the drugs will be prescribed with smaller doses initially, as the time pass by the same is continued until the levels are under control. When the sugar levels are found under poor control with time, the dosages are increased or other drugs in combinations are prescribed for the better control. Once the dosage is set, that continues again for some more time until sugar levels are under control. In your case also the same thing has happened. So You can continue with the new drug which is better for the present condition of your diabetes.
