How To Control Infant's Fever?

Hi my 17 month old baby's fever hovers between 38-39 degree Celsius all day. We give him 3ml paracetamol 4 hourly. Just now after milk I gave him paracetamol and he vomited about two tablespoons of milk. Then I gave him the rest of the paracetamol and now he's sleeping. Is it ok?
