I have Tardive Dyskinesia dues cause by Clozaril for on it for 14 yrs. I was on 38 pills a day in the past. I was misdiagnoses as Mental Illness. I got off all my psy meds in November 1914. Then I found out I have Tardive Dyskinesia on Dec 13, 2014. I am not mental illness but I have Tardive Dyskinesia. I was taking lorazepam to stop Tardive Dyskinesia. Dr. Geller stop it, then my mouth acting up. How can I control my mouth?
I'm sorry that you have been through a lot of issues especially due to wrong diagnosis. Please do stop any psych meds. Please attempt to take these medicines which are available without prescription namely muscle relaxants like tizanidine and phenergan syrup. I also feel that you should increase the dose of larpose, nightly. Don't worry. You'll be fine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar, General & Family Physician
