I am having problem of sleep talking for 7 years.ts increasing day by day.I can't stay anywhere even for a day.Other people keep complaining of my talking.When they wakes me up I can't remember anything.Usually I scream or shouts a lot. I wanna control it.But I don't know how.pls gv me a proper advice.
Sleep talking, formally known as somniloquy, is a sleep disorder defined as talking during sleep without being aware of it.Certain measures can be taken to reduce the likelihood of a sleep talking episode. Following regular sleep schedule, getting adequate amounts of sleep, and practicing proper sleep hygiene can help reduce the frequency and severity of sleep talking. Also refrain from alcohol, heavy meals, and excessive amounts of stress to reduce sleep talking.clonazepam can be used at bed time.
If there is no other symptom which is unusual then we donot consider sleep talking as a problem and we dont treat it as well.
But if you are so concerned, as you cannot stay anywhere out of your home and trouble others due to shouting then we need to rule out certain other things.
If possible please tell do you have anxiety during daytime (due to any reason )? Or is it so that there is any relation between daily life stressors and more sleep talking?
If you havent observed it then do so now and see if there is any relation between more exertion and more sleep talking.
You have to see what is your dominant mood most times now..are you ok or you feel low mostly? Bascially we need to rule out anxiety and depression as they can increase the chances of sleep talk.
