How To Cope With Breathlessness Due To Change In Medicine?

Hi, I had done a PTCA on two of my blocked arteries in May, 2012. since then I have been advised to take RAMISTAR alongwith other medicines (ECOSPRIN etc.) but recently in the start of Aug, 2012, when I visited the doctor and complained about intermittent short of breath he changed the medicine from RAMISTAR to PROLOMET. Now since a week I am having trouble again after changing the medicine and it is quite often and more problematic causing shortness of breath many a times in a day. could you please advise?

hai ramistar(ramipril) prolomet is metoprolol(betablocker).both these drugs have a tendency to cause chest problems like dry cough,(ramipril) or bronchospasm(metoprolol) but not in all cases.
if your shortness of breath still continues please go for a cardic check up once again inclusive of ecg, chestxray, echo, angiogram.
my suggestion for u is to start on diuretics,or angiotension antagonists like losartan, olmisartan to decrease the load on the heart & lungs.
take care.good luck
