Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m a 23 years old guy. I ve bow legs (O-shape, Genu Varum ) since childhood. I appreciate that it s a light angle of varus in the knee. How can I correct this malalignment ? and are there a non-surgical treatment ? after correction surgery, can i return to workout and sport .
The only way to correct varus( bow legs) in the knee joint is by surgical correction. At this age nothing else would work, so do not waste time. Consult Orthopedic surgeon for the best possible surgery and outcome.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
