How To Cure A Infection On Stitches For A Cut ?

Hallo, 1week ago i step into a piece of rebar and it went straight in between my toes...i got three stiches but it is very painful andi docover it as i am in a very dusty place...the cotton wool is permantly full of dark yellow kinda green colour. i had a tetinus shot...a struggle so much to walk..it is extremly painful! Is this normal and also how long will it take for this cut to heal as i am a athlete and need to train????

Hi,thanks for query.After stiches you need to take anti biotic and anti inflamatory drugs for control of infection and to reduce swelling.This will take about 10-12 days get healed.Please avoid unnecessary walking,do not put pressure on that part,elevate the food on pillow while you rest or sleep.this will help to reduce pain.bye.
