How To Cure A Mass (4x2) On The Upper Lobe Of Left Lung?

I just found out I have a mass in the upper lobe of my left lung. I have to wait till monday to hear about my next appt. I am so hoping it isn't a high stage of cancer. My dr. said the mass is 4 x 2 (just found in ct scan)I am so scared! Is this what is condisered a large mass?

Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
You seem to suffer from -it could be NSCLC(Non-Small/ or Large Cell Lung Cancer)-mostly, as notified by your doctor.This being most common lung cancer affecting 82% of all lung cancer afflictions.Or it could also belong to SCLC(Small Cell- lung cancer) or Carcinoid Lung Mass or could be metastatic from Colon / kidneys.
Treatment-
For -NSCLC/and Carcinoids/ Metastatic -Single tumour- its mostly Surgical Excision
SCLC-/ -Its mostly Chemo/Radiotherapy.
Thorasic Surgeon / and Chemo-therapist would decide plan of treatment depending on spread stage / histologic grades.
