How To Cure A Painful Bump On The Right Ear?

I have a lump above my right ear that is achey. When pressure is applied it is more painful, it also seems stationary not much movement. There are no visible signs of redness or swelling and no itching. I just noticed this yesterday afternoon but I have been having problems with my right ear for the last year itching, pressure like it's plugged tinnitus. I have not had any head or ear trauma.

Regarding your query about painful swelling above right ear. You were having similar symptoms last year also. To make a diagnosis here clinical examination of ear is must. The possible diseases are -

1- Furunculosis of external ear canal.

2- Post aural lymphadenitis.

3- Acute mastoiditis.

All above possibilities may be differentiated by examination though there are some investigations which will help in making diagnosis. These are-

A- X-Ray mastoid.

B- FNAC from lump.

With the help of these investigations and physical examination of ear diagnosis may be made and accordingly treatment may be planed.
