Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 14 and is having problems with regurgitation of food. She has been put on prilosec because it is thought that she has acid reflux. It seems like she eats and the food just rolls back out of her. She eats very light to begin with and I think it is partly because she says if she eats too much it comes back up on her. Not every meal comes back up. Dinner is the worst meal for her. She said this morning that it is like her stomach ca'nt stretch. She is 5' 4" and 100 pounds so she is light weight to begin with. We are waiting to hear from Devos Childrens hospital in Grand Rapids, MI to get an appointment to see a Pediatric Gastronologist it may take a few months we are told. Worried she will loose too much weight before she can get seen. There is no Pediatric Gastronologist in our area. I started having her drink ensure to help her with calories. Any thoughts?
