Betnovate-N cream contains a potent steroid and it is never a good idea to use a potent steroid on face because it can cause side effects like acne, photosensitivity, skin thinning and atrophy.
Once daily azaleic acid cream can be used at night, at the start of therapy. Azaleic acid works for both acne and pigmentation. Other skin lightening ingredients that are effective for post acne hyperpigmentation are kojic acid, glycolic acid, hydroquinone etc
I would also suggest you to use a gel based sunscreen, that which offers both UV A and UV B protection, throughout the day.
regards
